During the calendar year 2001, all projects funded under the 20% economic development fund have been completed. It has paid all its obligations especially the regular amortization of the heavy equipments loan. At present, the 20% Economic Development Fund of the municipality is being concentrated to four (4) major sectoral areas of concern of the community, namely : (1) Infrastructure Services Sector which enumerates the various support projects of the municipality; (2) Social Services Sector which enumerates the needs for proper health care, social welfare, water, power, population development and peace and order, (3) Economic Services Sector which enumerates the livelihood opportunities of the masses, cooperative development, nursery and fishery development and dispersal programs’ (4) General Government Administration Sector which enumerates the payment of loan amortization for heavy equipments, Internal Capability Building Program. Maintenance of Local Government Unit vehicles and procurement of computers. The Local Chief Executive and the Sangguniang Bayan of tAlusan, Zamboanga Sibugay are exerting extra efforts in order to source out funds from the Congresswoman Belma A. Cabilao, from the Senators and from other National Government Agencies for the development of the municipality of Talusan.
